RDL D-RT2 – On/Off Decora Remote Control Selector, White
What is the RDL D-RT2?
The RDL D-RT2 is a white Decora-style remote with ON and OFF pushbuttons for switching an audio or video source from the wall. It wires to RDL switching modules and sits neatly beside RDL remote volume controls.
How does it work?
At power-up the OFF mode is selected; pressing ON switches the state and the green or red LED shows ON or OFF. Separate open-collector ON and OFF outputs (25 mA maximum) on the detachable terminal block trigger the connected module. Typical pairings are the ST-SSR1 or ST-RX2 solid-state audio switch, or the TX-MVX for video. It runs from a ground-referenced 24 Vdc supply at 30 mA and mounts in a standard US electrical box with the CP-1 cover plate available separately.
What are the key features?
- Dedicated ON and OFF buttons — Two momentary pushbuttons make the control state obvious to any user.
- Status LEDs — Green and red LEDs confirm whether the controlled source is on or off.
- Separate open-collector outputs — Independent ON and OFF outputs support simple or more complex switching networks.
- Single-pair wiring — Most installations need only one shielded pair (3-conductor cable).
- Pairs with RDL volume remotes — The Decora format mounts beside RDL remote level controls for a matched wall plate.
