RDL ST-SSR1 – Silent 2x1 Line-Level Audio Switch
What is the RDL ST-SSR1?
The RDL ST-SSR1 is a STICK-ON 2x1 audio switch that silently selects between two balanced line-level inputs. It also works as a silent on/off switch for a single channel in conference rooms, paging systems and AV racks.
How does it work?
The module has two balanced +4 dBu inputs and one balanced output, and each can be used unbalanced. The SELECT input feeds the output when the TRIG terminal is grounded, otherwise the NORMAL input feeds it. The control current is under 0.5 mA, so the switch can be driven from contacts, logic circuits or RDL remote controls such as the D-RC2ST or D-RT2. Installers can program fast or soft switching, and two LEDs show which input is active.
What are the key features?
- Silent audio switching — Switching without hard relay contacts selects between two balanced lines without audible clicks.
- Fast or soft switching — The module can be set for fast switching for muting or soft switching for smooth transitions.
- Low-current control input — The TRIG terminal needs only 0.5 mA, so switches, logic or open-collector outputs can control it.
- Remote control compatible — RDL D-RC2ST and D-RT2 remote controls can select the active input.
- Active input indicators — Two LEDs show whether the NORMAL or SELECT input is feeding the output.
