Product Overview

The QSC Server Core X10 is the entry point to the Q-SYS X-Class Server Core family — a new tier of processors that combines the Q-SYS Full Stack AV Platform with enterprise-grade server hardware to address the performance demands of medium and large-scale commercial AV deployments. Delivering 3× the DSP processing power of the Core 24f, the Server Core X10 provides 256×256 Q-LAN/AES67 network audio channels, 64 AEC channels, up to 128×128 Dante capacity, 32 VoIP softphone instances, and a 256 GB onboard media drive in a 1U chassis. Four 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports — two multimedia and two auxiliary — support redundant AV transport alongside segregated VoIP, SNMP, LDAP, and WAN media streaming services.

As a fully networked processor with no onboard analog I/O, the Server Core X10 is designed for centralized processing architectures where Q-SYS NV video endpoints, QIO I/O expanders, and network-attached amplifiers handle distributed edge I/O. It operates on the same Q-SYS Designer software platform as every other Q-SYS Core processor, eliminating retraining overhead when scaling from smaller Core deployments to enterprise-wide AV infrastructure. The X10 is ideal for corporate campuses, higher education facilities, large hospitality venues, and any application requiring centralized mission-critical AV processing with distributed networked I/O.

Key Features

  • 3× the DSP processing power of the Core 24f — Significant step up in computational headroom for complex signal routing, large automixer configurations, and multi-room AEC processing.
  • 256×256 Q-LAN/AES67 networked audio channels — Supports large distributed audio networks with centralized processing and edge-based network I/O devices.
  • 64 AEC channels at 200 ms tail length — Equivalent AEC capacity to the Core 510i and Core 610; handles large multi-microphone conferencing environments.
  • Up to 128×128 software-based Dante channels (8×8 included) — Large-scale Dante integration for third-party devices across enterprise AV networks.
  • 32 VoIP softphone instances — Four times the VoIP capacity of the Core 24f; suited for multi-zone enterprise telephony integration.
  • Four 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports — Two Q-SYS multimedia ports for redundant AV transport; two independent auxiliary ports for VoIP, SNMP, LLDP, LDAP, and WAN media streaming isolation.
  • 256 GB onboard media drive (200+ GB user-available) — Supports 4-channel recording and 16-channel playback (expandable to 128 tracks with optional stackable license).
  • 12 Q-SYS NM-T1 beamforming microphone support — Suitable for multi-room deployments with distributed tabletop microphone arrays.
  • 64×64 Media/WAN channel capacity — Native media streaming for AV-over-IP distribution across the enterprise network.
  • 1U rack-mount form factor — Front LCD display with 5-button navigation; 2× USB-A + 2× USB-C for peripheral connectivity and local access.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Q-SYS X-Class Server Core family and how does the X10 fit?
The X-Class Server Cores are QSC's highest-tier processing platform, combining Q-SYS software with enterprise server hardware for mission-critical AV deployments. The X10 is the entry point, followed by the Server Core X20r (2× the processing power) and the Server Core X50r (5× the processing power at 10 Gbps). All three run the same Q-SYS Full Stack AV Platform and are fully compatible with the broader Q-SYS peripheral ecosystem.

Does the Server Core X10 have onboard analog I/O?
No. The X10 is a fully networked processor with no onboard analog I/O. All analog connectivity is provided through Q-SYS network peripherals such as QIO-ML4i, QIO-L4o, QIO-24f, Attero Tech Dante wall plates, and CX-Q network amplifiers.

How does the Server Core X10 compare to the Core 610?
The X10 offers newer hardware with 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports (vs. 1 Gbps on the Core 610), higher VoIP capacity (32 vs. Core 610's base), and a newer X-Class architecture at a lower price point ($8,650 vs. $13,020). The Core 610 has more onboard media storage (480 GB vs. 256 GB) and offers iDRAC remote management via Dell's service ecosystem. For new projects, the X10 is generally recommended; the Core 610 may be preferred where Dell service contracts or iDRAC management are requirements.

What multitrack playback capacity is available and how is it expanded?
The X10 includes 16-channel playback out of the box. Optional multi-track playback licenses (SLMTP-32) can be stacked up to 4× to reach 128 channels. Contact Creation Networks for current license pricing and stacking details.

What warranty and support applies to the Server Core X10?
QSC's standard 3-year limited warranty covers the Server Core X10. Creation Networks provides pre-sales system design support, Q-SYS architecture consultation, and post-sale technical assistance. Contact us at creationnetworks.net.
