Product Overview
The Meyer Sound UPQ-D1 is a full-size, wide-coverage self-powered point source loudspeaker for front-of-house and fill applications in installed and portable systems. Its 80-degree horizontal by 50-degree vertical Constant-Q horn covers broad listening areas while maintaining focused vertical control, making it well suited to houses of worship, auditoriums, and multi-purpose performance spaces. A 15-inch neodymium cone driver and 4-inch diaphragm compression driver are powered by an onboard two-channel Class D amplifier rated at 2250 W peak. This 3-pin input version uses a standard XLR connection for straightforward integration into analog signal chains.
Product Description

The UPQ-D1 evolves from the UPQ-1P and UPQ-2P line, using amplifier and processing technology derived from the Meyer Sound LEO family. Its Constant-Q horn provides 80-degree horizontal by 50-degree vertical coverage at the -6 dB points, with a gentle rolloff extending to 100 by 60 degrees at the -10 dB points and uniform attenuation outside the pattern. The vented trapezoidal enclosure is built from premium multi-ply birch with a textured black finish, an integral 38 mm pole-mount receptacle, and 6061-T6 aluminum end plates with M10 threaded rigging points. For a narrower, focused symmetrical pattern, consider the UPQ-D2, or for a wide symmetrical pattern the UPQ-D3; the full range is available in the Meyer Sound collection. Low-frequency extension can be added with a companion subwoofer such as the Meyer Sound 750-LFC. QuickFly rigging is supported through the MPA-UPQ array plate and MYA-UPQ mounting yoke.
Key Features

Frequently Asked Questions
What coverage pattern does the UPQ-D1 provide?
It uses an 80-degree horizontal by 50-degree vertical Constant-Q horn at the -6 dB points, widening to 100 by 60 degrees at the -10 dB points.
How does the UPQ-D1 differ from the UPQ-D2 and UPQ-D3?
The UPQ-D1 offers a wide 80 by 50 degree pattern, the UPQ-D2 a focused 50 by 50 degree pattern, and the UPQ-D3 a wide symmetrical 80 by 80 degree pattern.
Is the UPQ-D1 self-powered?
Yes. It includes a two-channel Class D amplifier rated at 2250 W peak with onboard processing, so no external amplifier is required.
Can I add a subwoofer?
Yes. A companion subwoofer such as the Meyer Sound 750-LFC can extend low-frequency response for full-range systems.
