Product Overview
The Meyer Sound ULTRA-X20 with MILAN AVB is the network-audio version of the compact wide-coverage point-source loudspeaker, built for installed AV systems that distribute audio over a Milan-certified network. Its rotatable 110° x 50° constant-Q horn provides even, predictable coverage for conference rooms, houses of worship, auditoriums, and multi-purpose spaces. Two 5-inch low-frequency drivers and a 2-inch compression driver are powered by an internal three-channel Class-D amplifier. Digital connectivity via etherCON delivers networked audio and integrated monitoring through Compass Control Software.
Product Description

This digital variant of the ULTRA-X20 carries a Milan-certified audio format on an etherCON TOP connector, simplifying networked AV distribution while preserving the loudspeaker's point-source accuracy. A concentric driver configuration delivers coaxial-style behavior with directional control of frequencies down to 600 Hz, and phase-corrected electronics maintain flat amplitude and phase response for precise imaging. AC power is supplied through a powerCON TRUE1 TOP connector with loop output, and monitoring is integrated directly into Compass Control Software without an external RMS module. For an analog 3-pin version, see the standard ULTRA-X20; for different coverage, compare the ULTRA-X22 and ULTRA-X23, or browse the full Meyer Sound range. Pair with a 750-LFC to extend low-frequency output.
Key Features
- MILAN-Certified Network Audio — A digital etherCON TOP connection carries Milan-certified audio for deterministic, low-latency distribution across installed AV networks.
- Integrated Monitoring — The digital version provides built-in monitoring through Compass Control Software with no external RMS hardware required.
- Wide 110° x 50° Coverage — A rotatable constant-Q horn projects an even, wide pattern across broad audience areas from a compact cabinet.
- Concentric Driver Configuration — Two 5-inch cone drivers and a 2-inch compression driver provide point-source performance with directional control down to 600 Hz.
- Self-Powered Three-Channel Amplifier — An onboard Class-D amplifier delivers 860 W peak with integrated crossover, correction filters, and driver protection.
- powerCON TRUE1 TOP Power — Locking AC input with loop output and automatic voltage selection from 90–265 V AC.
- Compact Aluminum Enclosure — A 27 lb (12.3 kg) vented aluminum cabinet with textured black finish suits size- and weight-critical installations.
- Flexible Rigging — Integral M8 points on each end plus rear M6 threaded holes support pole, yoke, U-bracket, wall, and ceiling mounting.
Typical Applications
- House of Worship — Networked audio distribution and wide coverage support speech and music across sanctuary seating.
- Conference Room — Milan connectivity integrates the loudspeaker into networked AV and conferencing systems.
- Multi-Purpose Room — Flexible rigging and broad coverage adapt to reconfigurable event spaces.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between this version and the analog ULTRA-X20?
This version carries a Milan-certified digital audio format on an etherCON TOP connector, whereas the standard model uses an analog XLR 3-pin input. The acoustic performance and enclosure are identical.
Does the MILAN AVB version require an external monitoring module?
No. The digital version provides integrated monitoring directly through Compass Control Software, so no separate RMS module or RMServer is needed.
What coverage pattern does it provide?
It uses a rotatable 110° x 50° constant-Q horn that can be oriented horizontally or vertically without changing the coverage shape.
What connectors does the digital version use?
Audio is carried on an etherCON TOP connector and AC power on a powerCON TRUE1 TOP connector with loop output.
Is the ULTRA-X20 MILAN AVB covered by warranty?
Yes. It is covered under Meyer Sound's standard product warranty. For details, please contact us.
