The Meyer Sound ACHERON-DESIGNER is the most compact self-powered cinema screen channel loudspeaker in the ACHERON family, intended for sound design suites, screening rooms, private theaters, and small commercial theaters. Optimized for installation behind perforated screens, it reproduces the left, center, and right channels with precise coverage. It uses the same horn technology and high-frequency compression driver as the larger ACHERON models, delivering a 38 Hz to 17 kHz frequency response for accurate translation to larger rooms. An 80° horizontal by 50° vertical pattern and convection-cooled design make it practical for compact spaces.

Product Description

Part of Meyer Sound's EXP cinema product line, the ACHERON-DESIGNER shares the patented cinema horn used across the ACHERON family, providing a soft roll-off beyond its coverage pattern and an accurate acoustic crossover through the critical range. Its transducers include one 12-inch low-frequency cone driver in a ported enclosure and one 4-inch diaphragm compression driver, powered by a two-channel Class-D amplifier producing 1400 W peak. The rear-mounted recessed heat sink provides convection cooling and allows the unit to sit flat against a wall. Because it shares the same fidelity as the larger ACHERON models, soundtracks monitored on the DESIGNER translate accurately to rooms using the ACHERON-LF screen channel subwoofer or the X-800C cinema subwoofer.
