The Listen Technologies GC00005 is an EM-1.2 tie clip microphone for counter hearing loop systems, worn by the operator at a service position. A worn microphone follows the talker, which is the right answer where staff move away from a fixed counter position during a transaction.
Product Description
Not every service position keeps the staff member in one place. Pharmacy counters, ticket offices and reception desks often involve turning away to retrieve something while continuing to speak.
A fixed microphone loses the talker at that point; a worn microphone does not. The trade is that the microphone has to be put on at the start of a shift and taken off at the end, which requires a habit rather than a design decision.
Pair with a CLD1 counter loop driver. Where the position is genuinely fixed, the desktop gooseneck or boundary microphone options avoid the daily fitting step.
