The Listen Technologies ACBMIC is a boundary microphone for counter hearing loop systems, picking up speech across a counter or table surface. Boundary microphones sit flush and use the surface itself as part of the pickup, which makes them the least obtrusive option at a service position where a gooseneck would be in the way.
Product Description
Counter loop installations have a microphone placement problem. The staff member needs to be picked up clearly, the customer needs an unobstructed counter, and the space is usually shared with a card terminal, a screen and whatever else the transaction requires.
A boundary microphone resolves that by sitting flat on the surface. It also avoids the visual signal a gooseneck sends, which in some settings — a bank counter, a reception desk — matters to how the space reads.
Pair with a CLD1 counter loop driver. Where a gooseneck or worn microphone suits the position better, the desktop gooseneck and tie clip options cover those cases.
