Product Overview
The LEA Professional CS1504 is a 15-channel, 500-watt-per-channel networked amplifier engineered for large commercial AV systems requiring high channel count in a compact rack footprint. Part of LEA's Network Connect Series — the industry's first IoT-enabled professional amplifier family — the CS1504 delivers distributed audio for houses of worship, auditoriums, and multi-zone enterprise installations with analog inputs, onboard 96kHz DSP, and LEA Cloud remote management. For projects that require Dante audio networking and AES67 compatibility, the CS1504D variant adds those capabilities to the same platform.
Product Description
The CS1504 addresses the practical challenge of high-channel-count installations: the need to distribute audio across many zones without filling a rack with individual amplifiers. With 15 independent output channels at 500 watts each, a single 2U unit covers a distribution scope that previously required three or more conventional amplifiers. Every channel is independently switchable between low-impedance (2, 4, or 8 ohm) and high-impedance (70V or 100V) operation, so a single CS1504 can simultaneously power 70V ceiling speaker runs in distant zones and low-impedance loudspeakers at the front-of-house position.
The CS1504 accepts 15 balanced analog inputs with user-selectable 26 dB or 34 dB input sensitivity. Signal processing is handled by an Analog Devices Sigma 96kHz DSP with 32-bit core, delivering per-channel crossover filtering at up to 48 dB/octave, 8-band parametric EQ, 100ms output delay, and real-time load monitoring with pilot tone detection. The fully routable input matrix allows any analog input to be assigned to any output channel with primary and secondary priority routing — a configuration set through the browser-based web UI without any proprietary software.
Network connectivity uses one of three methods: a built-in Wi-Fi access point for local commissioning, client-mode connection to the venue’s existing Wi-Fi, or Fast Ethernet over Cat5 or Cat6 cable. LEA Cloud provides remote monitoring, fault alerts, and control access from any internet-connected device without a VPN. The CS1504 also supports direct integration with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, AMX, Control4, Savant, RTI, URC, Symetrix, Xilica, Utelogy, and other control systems through certified drivers and an open Websocket/TCP API. The external I/O port enables hardware-level remote power switching and fault status output to a building management or monitoring system.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does the CS1504 differ from the CS1504D?
The CS1504 uses analog-only inputs: 15 balanced XLR-style inputs with selectable 26 dB or 34 dB sensitivity. The CS1504D adds Dante audio networking (16x16 at 96kHz or 48kHz) and AES67 compatibility for installations using networked audio infrastructure. Both models share the same output stage, DSP platform, and LEA Cloud connectivity. If your installation is entirely analog, the CS1504 is the appropriate choice. If you are using or planning a Dante network, select the CS1504D.
Q: Can the CS1504 drive 70V and 8-ohm speakers simultaneously?
Yes. The CS1504 allows each of its 15 channels to be independently configured for HiZ (70V or 100V) or LoZ (2, 4, or 8 ohm) operation. You can route distributed ceiling speakers on 70V circuits through some channels while other channels drive 8-ohm main speakers — all within a single amplifier.
Q: What input sensitivity options are available?
Each of the 15 analog balanced inputs supports user-selectable sensitivity of either 26 dB or 34 dB. This allows the CS1504 to interface with consumer-level line sources and professional-grade signal processors without requiring external pads or additional gain staging.
Q: Which control systems are compatible with the CS1504?
The CS1504 is compatible with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, AMX (Harman), Control4, Savant, RTI, URC, Nice (formerly Elan), Symetrix, Xilica, Utelogy, and Atlona Velocity via certified drivers. The open Websocket and TCP API supports custom integration with any compatible control system or building management platform.
Q: Does the CS1504 support LEA Cloud remote management?
Yes. Once connected to a network and registered, the CS1504 provides full LEA Cloud access for remote monitoring, fault notifications, and parameter control from any internet-connected device. No VPN or proprietary client software is required. US customers who register their product are eligible for up to 6 years of warranty coverage.
Q: What is the rack space and weight of the CS1504?
The CS1504 occupies 2U of standard rack space. Refer to the LEA Professional downloads page for the current spec sheet with exact weight and shipping dimensions for rack and logistics planning.
Q: Is the CS1504 suitable for 100V distributed audio systems?
Yes. Each channel on the CS1504 can be independently set to 70V or 100V HiZ output, supporting both 70V and 100V distributed speaker standards within a single amplifier. This makes the CS1504 suitable for international installations where 100V is the standard, as well as domestic 70V systems.
