It is a long-reach HDMI distribution solution for cafeterias, lobbies, malls and large facilities with displays spread across a space.
How does the Kramer VM-4DKT work?
An HDMI source connects to the VM-4DKT, which encodes the signal into DGKat 2.0 using low-level video compression that Kramer describes as visually lossless for 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDR signals with near-zero latency. Each of the four RJ-45 outputs connects over a single twisted pair cable to a compatible DGKat receiver, carrying both signal and power (PoC) so the remote receivers need no local power. Reach is up to 60m (200ft) at 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 using shielded UNIKAT cables.
The HDMI loop output mirrors the content for local monitoring or cascading to other components. HDMI support includes HDR10, HDCP 2.3, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, 2K and 4K as specified in HDMI 2.0, with up to 8 channels of uncompressed digital audio.
