Product Overview
The Kramer PT-872XR is a Long-Reach DGKat 2.0 receiver that accepts a DGKat 2.0 signal from a compatible Kramer transmitter and provides an HDMI output at the display end of a commercial AV signal extension run. It is designed for conference rooms, classrooms, and commercial AV installations requiring extended HDMI signal distribution over Cat cabling using Kramer DGKat 2.0 technology.
Product Description
DGKat 2.0 is Kramer’s second-generation twisted pair extension technology, offering improved signal performance and longer extension distances compared to the original DGKat specification. The PT-872XR receives the DGKat 2.0 signal and converts it back to HDMI for connection to a display or projector at the remote location. The XR designation indicates extended range capability for longer Cat cable runs. PoC from the transmitter can power the receiver, reducing local power supply requirements.
