Product Overview

The Epiphan ESP1882 Pearl Nexus is an automated recording and streaming appliance built for classrooms, courtrooms, and presentation spaces in a 1RU form factor. This Pearl Nexus lecture capture system records and streams up to three channels of 1080p video with a 1 TB internal SSD, CMS integrations, and automated file management for hands-off operation. It accepts a complete array of video inputs across SDI, HDMI, USB, SRT, and NDI, plus professional audio, making it a flexible fit for installed AV environments. For AV integrators standardizing video capture across many rooms, Pearl Nexus is designed to sit at the center of the workflow.

Product Description

Built on the award-winning Pearl family, the Pearl Nexus records and streams up to three 1080p channels while integrating with the hardware and software used in professional AV environments. Its automation and redundancy tools, including scheduling and automatic file upload, are designed so a recording or live stream is never missed, even in unattended rooms. Operators apply configuration presets to reconfigure a unit quickly or transfer settings between systems for a consistent setup across a fleet.

For deployments at scale, Pearl Nexus is managed through Epiphan Edge, the cloud-based fleet management platform that provides remote access, live switching from the cloud, and real-time alerting across hundreds of devices. The system supports custom layouts, branding, graphics, and switching for production value, and brings in remote guests over SRT, Zoom, or Teams. Security features include 802.1x authentication with digital certificate management, role-based access control with LDAP, HTTPS and SFTP secure transport, and dual-network support to separate streaming and control traffic. It integrates with YuJa, Panopto, and Kaltura content management systems and with QSC, Extron, and Crestron room automation. Compared with the touchscreen Pearl Mini, Pearl Nexus is optimized for rack-based, automated capture; integrators needing a portable single-channel encoder choose the Pearl Nano, while higher-capacity multi-camera production calls for the Pearl-2.
