The Creation Multilingual Messaging Phone Listening Kit – 6 Languages is the hardware that streams every language of your venue announcements to guests' own phones at the same moment. It contains three Listen Technologies LW-170-02-09 ListenWIFI Dante servers and three LW-327 rack-mount kits, giving six Dante channels: one for each language in the Large content package. The loudspeakers carry the house language while guests hear their own language in the free ListenWIFI app.

Each language of a message plays from your Q-SYS Core to its own language zone, and each zone is sent over Dante to its own channel on a ListenWIFI server. When a message is triggered by a schedule, a page-station button or a contact closure, every language starts at the same moment, so guests no longer wait through other languages.

The servers are set up with a single multilingual channel, so the ListenWIFI app plays the language that matches each guest's preference, and guests can change it. A public-address override can also push a venue-wide announcement to every listener, interrupting whatever channel they are on. Phones connect through your venue Wi-Fi on the same network as the servers, with no internet connection needed.

Each LW-170-02-09 carries two languages, mounts in its LW-327 1RU kit and runs from its own USB-C power supply. Creation Networks configures the multilingual channel, the QR codes and the network settings with your IT team as part of the project; that engineering is quoted with your system.

How many users does the Phone Listening Kit support?

Each LW-170-02-09 server supports up to 500 listening devices, including smartphones, tablets and Listen LWR-1050 receivers, so the three servers in this kit support up to 1,500 at once. That total assumes listeners are spread across the servers; if a large crowd shares one language, Creation Networks adds a server for that language. Servers can be added at any time for more users or more languages.

Your venue Wi-Fi sets the practical limit. Each listening device uses 125 kbps, and Listen requires 802.11n or better access points with WMM enabled. Creation Networks checks access-point coverage and capacity with your IT team during the site walk.

How do guests connect with a QR code?

Guests scan a QR code on venue signage with the in-app scanner and are connected straight to the multilingual channel. First-time users can scan the code, download the free ListenWIFI app and connect in one step, with no account to create. The app then plays the guest's preferred language, which they can set once and change at any time.

Codes are generated in the ListenWIFI Manager and can be posted per room or area. Channels can also be hidden so they are only reachable by scanning a code or by an optional LA-490 location beacon, which connects phones automatically as guests move through the venue.
