Product Overview

The QSC Core Nano is a half-rack, 1RU Q-SYS network AV&C processor built for small- to mid-scale commercial installations that need full Q-SYS audio, video, and control processing without dedicated onboard analog I/O. As a network-only audio processor, it manages up to 64 x 64 channels of routing, eight channels of acoustic echo cancellation, and USB conferencing bridging for conference rooms, huddle rooms, and classrooms. Because it runs the same Q-SYS OS as the rest of the Core portfolio, integrators can standardize control, monitoring, and third-party device integration across an entire estate. For sites that later need analog connectivity, the Core Nano pairs with Attero Tech and Q-SYS network I/O peripherals.

The Core Nano extends the Q-SYS Ecosystem into targeted, lower-channel-count deployments where a full-size processor with unused analog I/O would waste rack space and budget. It delivers USB audio and video bridging compatible with all major web conferencing platforms, eight AEC processors for clear far-end speech, two VoIP softphone instances, and software-based Dante starting at 8 x 8 and scaling to 32 x 32 to connect networked microphones and loudspeakers. A full-featured control engine handles third-party device integration including displays, cameras, and room controllers, so the Core Nano can run a complete meeting room as a standalone processor in Core Mode, or serve as a networked I/O expander in Peripheral Mode. The compact chassis measures 1.72 in H x 8.66 in W x 11.28 in D, letting integrators place it under a table, in a credenza, or in a shared rack. For larger rooms that require onboard analog or flexible I/O cards, compare the QSC Core 8 Flex.

Key Features

  • Network-only AV&C processing — Provides up to 64 x 64 channels of Q-SYS routing without occupying rack space for analog I/O you may not use.
  • Eight-channel acoustic echo cancellation — Delivers clean far-end audio for conferencing across up to eight microphone paths.
  • USB audio and video bridging — Connects directly to room PCs and works with all major web conferencing applications for BYOM and dedicated UC rooms.
  • Software-based Dante — Ships with 8 x 8 channels and scales to 32 x 32 via license to integrate networked microphones and amplifiers.
  • Two VoIP softphone instances — Supports SIP telephony for paging and conferencing without add-on hardware.
  • Full-featured control engine — Integrates third-party displays, cameras, and room controllers so the processor can run an entire room.
  • Core or Peripheral mode — Operates as a standalone processor or converts to a network I/O peripheral for a larger Q-SYS Core.
  • Unified Q-SYS OS — Runs the same operating system and Q-SYS Designer workflow as the full Core portfolio for estate-wide standardization.
  • Universal power, compact chassis — Half-rack 1RU enclosure with 100-240V input simplifies installation in small and shared spaces.

Typical Applications

  • Conference room — Network-only DSP with eight-channel AEC and USB bridging handles full meeting-room audio and UC integration.
  • Huddle room — Compact half-rack form factor fits small rooms where a full processor would waste space and budget.
  • Training room — Software Dante and a built-in control engine tie microphones, displays, and sources into a single managed system.
  • Boardroom — Standalone Core Mode runs the entire room while standardizing on the Q-SYS OS used across the estate.
  • Commercial meeting space — Two VoIP softphones and UC compatibility support both telephony and web conferencing.
  • Multi-purpose room — Peripheral Mode lets the unit serve as networked I/O for a larger Q-SYS Core when room use changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Core Nano have analog audio inputs or outputs?
No. The Core Nano is network-only. Add analog channels by pairing it with Attero Tech or Q-SYS network I/O peripherals on the same Q-LAN network.

Will it work with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other UC platforms?
Yes. Its USB audio and video bridging is compatible with all major web conferencing applications for both dedicated-room and bring-your-own-meeting setups.

How does it fit into a larger Q-SYS system?
It can run a room as a standalone processor in Core Mode, or be switched to Peripheral Mode to act as a networked I/O expander for another Q-SYS Core, supporting up to 32 peripherals.

How is it mounted?
The half-rack 1RU chassis supports multiple mounting options, including under-table, in-furniture, and rack mounting with the appropriate kit.

What about warranty and support?
Q-SYS processors are covered by QSC's standard hardware warranty. Contact Creation Networks for current warranty terms, licensing, and design support.
