Product Description

A PTZ camera is the one device in a room that moves under its own power, which is why the mount matters more here than it does behind a fixed camera bar. Every pan and tilt command puts a small torque into whatever the camera is standing on. Set a 3.75 lb motorised head on a credenza or a display shelf and the picture shows it: a slow settle at the end of each preset recall, and framing that drifts a little every time somebody leans on the furniture. Fixing the camera to structure removes that variable during installation rather than after the first complaint from the far end.

For an estimator, the bracket is one line of four. The camera needs an HDMI 2.0 run back to the codec for video and a Cat 6 run to its LAN port for Visca over IP control, and both terminate at the mount position, so the mount location has to be settled before the cable pull is priced. Power is the item most often missed: the camera takes PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) over that same network run, and where the switch port cannot supply PoE+, the alternative is a local outlet at the mount plus a PSU-12VDC-40W2= 12V/3A supply.
