Product Description

The CMAR8T-W is the highest-output transformer model in Biamp's CMAR marine loudspeaker family, combining an 8-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter with a built-in distribution transformer. On a 70V or 100V line, many speakers share one amplifier over long cable runs with minimal loss, the standard method for background music and paging across pool halls, wellness facilities, and covered event spaces. The corrosion-resistant enclosure is rated for continuous operation in hot, humid conditions up to 95 degrees Celsius. In low-impedance mode the speaker presents an 8-ohm load rated at 100 W, giving integrators flexibility between constant-voltage and direct amplifier connection.

Selectable transformer taps let integrators set loudness per speaker while managing the amplifier budget for the zone. The 100V taps provide 20, 10, and 5 W settings, and the 70V taps add a 2.5 W option, so a single model covers a wide range of coverage requirements. The 8-inch format covers wider areas per unit, reducing the total speaker count in large rooms.
