The CMAR8-W is the largest driver in Biamp's CMAR marine loudspeaker family, delivering the most output and low-frequency weight of the series while keeping the same corrosion-resistant design. It is built for humid environment loudspeaker applications such as swimming pool halls, wellness facilities, covered event spaces, and coastal installations. The enclosure and hardware withstand chlorine and salt water and are rated for continuous operation in hot, humid conditions up to 95 degrees Celsius. The two-way driver reproduces clear speech and full-bodied background music, reaching a maximum SPL of 107 dB at one meter.

Because the CMAR8-W is a low-impedance loudspeaker, it wires directly to an 8-ohm amplifier output and is rated at 100 W in that mode, which suits higher-output zones on short cable runs. Larger areas that need many speakers on one amplifier over long distances should use a 70V or 100V distribution loudspeaker instead.
