Product Overview
The Biamp Tesira SIC-4 is a 4-channel mic/line modular input card for Tesira SERVER and SERVER-IO devices. It is the workhorse analog input card integrators reach for when microphones, wireless receivers, and line sources need to enter a Tesira DSP system. With a 0–66 dB gain range and switchable phantom power, this Tesira analog input card accepts audio from virtually any source. The SIC-4 mixes and matches freely with other modular I/O cards in either Tesira server chassis.
Product Description
Each SIC-4 provides four channels of balanced mic or line level audio input on plug-in barrier strip connectors. Software control of each input includes gain with clip indicator, +48V phantom power, mute, level, and signal invert, with a 0–66 dB gain range adjustable in 6 dB steps. The wide input gain sensitivity is what lets the SIC-4 accept signals ranging from low-output microphones to line-level sources, which is why it appears in so many AV system integration projects for boardrooms, conference rooms, and multi-purpose rooms. A premium-quality preamp keeps the sound clean and natural, and analog-to-digital conversion is 24-bit at a 48 kHz sampling rate. Because the modular cards can be mixed and matched in both the Tesira SERVER and SERVER-IO, an integrator can build the exact input count a room requires. The card incorporates AES48-2005 grounding and EMC practices, is RoHS compliant, and carries Biamp's 5-year warranty. Pair it with the Tesira SOC-4 output card, add a Tesira SEC-4 for conferencing with echo cancellation, or browse the full Biamp collection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Tesira devices accept the SIC-4?
The SIC-4 installs in Tesira SERVER and SERVER-IO devices and can be mixed and matched with other modular I/O cards.
Can it accept both microphone and line sources?
Yes. A 0–66 dB gain range in 6 dB steps lets it accept everything from low-output microphones to line-level sources.
Does it supply phantom power?
Yes. Each input provides switchable +48 VDC phantom power at 7 mA for condenser microphones.
What connectors does it use?
Inputs are balanced on plug-in barrier strip connectors.
What is the audio conversion quality?
Analog-to-digital conversion is 24-bit at a 48 kHz sampling rate.
Do I need a separate output card?
Yes. The SIC-4 handles inputs only; pair it with an output card such as the SOC-4 for analog outputs.
What warranty applies?
Biamp covers the SIC-4 with a 5-year warranty.
