Product Overview
The Biamp Tesira SOC-4 is a 4-channel line-level modular output card for Tesira SERVER and SERVER-IO devices. It is the analog output card integrators use to feed amplifiers, powered loudspeakers, assistive listening systems, and recording devices from a Tesira DSP system. With selectable full-scale output reference levels, this Tesira analog output card makes precise gain staging straightforward across a range of downstream equipment. The SOC-4 mixes and matches freely with other modular I/O cards in either Tesira server chassis.
Product Description
Each SOC-4 provides four channels of balanced mic or line level audio output on plug-in barrier strip connectors. Software control of each output includes mute, level, signal invert, and a selectable full-scale output reference level of +24 dBu, +18 dBu, +12 dBu, +6 dBu, 0 dBu, or -31 dBu. Those selectable levels are what let an integrator match the SOC-4 to the input sensitivity of any amplifier or endpoint, which is central to clean gain staging in AV system integration projects for boardrooms, conference rooms, and multi-purpose rooms. Digital-to-analog conversion is 24-bit at a 48 kHz sampling rate, and the card delivers a dynamic range greater than 110 dB with THD+N below 0.0035%. Because the modular cards can be mixed and matched in both the Tesira SERVER and SERVER-IO, an integrator can build the exact output count a room requires. The card incorporates AES48-2005 grounding and EMC practices, is RoHS compliant, and carries Biamp's 5-year warranty. Pair it with the Tesira SIC-4 input card, or browse the full Biamp collection for compatible Tesira hardware.
Key Features

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Tesira devices accept the SOC-4?
The SOC-4 installs in Tesira SERVER and SERVER-IO devices and can be mixed and matched with other modular I/O cards.
What does the selectable output reference do?
It lets you match the card's full-scale output (+24 to -31 dBu) to the input sensitivity of the connected amplifier or endpoint for clean gain staging.
What can I connect to the outputs?
Balanced outputs feed amplifiers, powered loudspeakers, assistive listening systems, recorders, and other line-level equipment.
What connectors does it use?
Outputs are balanced on plug-in barrier strip connectors.
What is the audio conversion quality?
Digital-to-analog conversion is 24-bit at a 48 kHz sampling rate, with dynamic range greater than 110 dB.
Do I need a separate input card?
Yes. The SOC-4 handles outputs only; pair it with an input card such as the SIC-4 for analog inputs.
What warranty applies?
Biamp covers the SOC-4 with a 5-year warranty.
