What is the AUDAC VEXO206/B 2.5-way loudspeaker?
The AUDAC VEXO206/B is a compact, high-output 2.5-way loudspeaker that puts two 6.5" woofers and a compression driver in a slim cabinet for full-range sound in commercial installations. It handles 250 W continuous (AES) power at 8 Ω, reaches 119 dB maximum SPL and covers 69 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB). How does the AUDAC VEXO206/B 2.5-way loudspeaker work?
The VEXO206/B uses tailor-made drivers: two 6.5" low-frequency drivers with 1.5" voice coils and a compression driver with a 1" voice coil loaded by a custom horn. That horn delivers a wide, consistent 117° x 114° dispersion, so fewer loudspeakers are needed to cover a room evenly. An internal limiting circuit protects the compression driver from overload, and two Speakon-compatible connectors allow linkthrough between cabinets. The included U-bracket mounts the cabinet horizontally or vertically and offers two positions: close to the wall for a compact look, or slightly offset for more tilt range. The cabinet is 15 mm multiply plywood with a 4-layer polyurea coating and a powder-coated steel grille with acoustical foam. For distributed 70/100V systems, AUDAC offers the optional TRM012 and TRM024 transformer modules. Add low end with a BASSO112 or BASSO115 subwoofer; AUDAC's FORTE206 reference sets drive these combinations from an SMQ750 or SMQ1250 amplifier. The CHB196 35 mm pole adapter supports stand mounting, and the VEXO206/W offers the same loudspeaker in white.

Does the VEXO206 need a subwoofer?
No. AUDAC designed it as a full-range 2.5-way speaker that works without a subwoofer, but BASSO-series subwoofers can be added for more low-frequency output.
Can it be used on a 70V or 100V line?
Yes, with an optional transformer module. AUDAC lists the TRM012 (120 W / 60 W taps) and TRM024 (240 W / 120 W taps) for the VEXO206.
Which amplifier should I use?
At 8 Ω it runs from low-impedance power amplifiers such as the AUDAC SMQ500 or SMQ750. Size the amplifier to the 250 W AES rating.
What mounting hardware is included?
