What is the AUDAC VEXO112A/B loudspeaker?
The AUDAC VEXO112A/B is a 12-inch, 2-way active (self-powered) high-performance loudspeaker for installed commercial sound, finished in black. It pairs a 12" (2.5" voice coil) low-frequency driver with a 1.7" voice-coil compression driver on a rotatable 90° x 70° horn, rated at 400 W continuous (AES) and 125 dB maximum SPL. It has its own amplification and DSP built in, so it needs only a line-level feed and AC power, and it joins AUDAC Touch control and Dante networks with the optional ANI44XT card. Typical installs are gyms, multi-purpose rooms, bars and restaurants, event venues and houses of worship.
How does the AUDAC VEXO112A/B work?
The VEXO cabinet uses a 12" (2.5" voice coil) woofer for the low end and a compression driver with a 1-inch throat for the highs. The horn gives a 90° horizontal by 70° vertical pattern and rotates, so the box can be mounted horizontally or vertically without losing its coverage shape. Sensitivity is 99 dB (1W/1m) and frequency response is 58 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB).
As an active loudspeaker, the AUDAC VEXO112A/B carries its own amplifier and DSP loudspeaker management, with XLR and 3-pin terminal block inputs plus link-through outputs for daisy-chaining a second cabinet. It has USB and RJ45 Ethernet on board, supports AUDAC Touch and TouchLink control and WaveDynamics processing, and drops into standby when idle to save power. Installing the ANI44XT Dante/AES67 card puts the speaker straight onto a Dante network, which removes a rack of amplifiers from small and mid-size systems.
The cabinet has a DuraCoat textured finish and, when mounted on the matching AUDAC MBK112V bracket, is rated impact-resistant and ball-impact-proof for sports halls and schools. For full-range music with deeper bass, pair VEXO tops with an AUDAC subwoofer such as the BASSO115. Size the series to the room:

Can the AUDAC VEXO112A/B be used on a 70V or 100V system?
It is an active speaker fed at line level, so it does not connect to a 70V/100V speaker line. For distributed constant-voltage systems, use the passive VEXO112 with a TRM transformer module.
What amplifier should drive the AUDAC VEXO112A/B?
None is needed. The amplifier and DSP are built in; it needs line-level audio and AC power.
Can the AUDAC VEXO112A/B be mounted vertically?
Yes. Rotate the horn so the 90° x 70° pattern stays the right way round for the mounting orientation.
