What is the AUDAC MERO2I/W in-wall speaker?
The AUDAC MERO2I/W is a high-end 2" in-wall speaker with a SlimLine grill that nearly disappears into the wall. It is built for premium background music in hotels, corporate spaces, restaurants and residences where speakers should be heard, not seen. It runs at 8 Ω and mounts flush with a quick-fix clamp.
How does the AUDAC MERO2I/W in-wall speaker work?
The MERO2I/W uses a single 2" aluminum full-range driver with 165° horizontal and vertical coverage, so a small speaker still spreads sound evenly. It handles 10 W continuous (AES) and reaches 120 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB), which suits background music, hallway fill and pairing with a subwoofer. It needs only a 5.04 x 3.15" cut-out and 2.76" of depth, and AUDAC offers the WMM20 in-wall box and WTR06 transformer for it. The rectangular SlimLine grill has a 1 mm border, comes in white, and can be painted or swapped for an optional black grill. Wiring lands on gold-plated Gold-Con spring clamps.
