The AUDAC KYRA12/OW is a passive outdoor column speaker that packs 12 aluminium-cone 2-inch full-range drivers into a slim aluminium enclosure, finished in white. It connects to a 12 Ω amplifier channel or on a 70V/100V constant-voltage line through its built-in multi-tap transformer. How does the AUDAC KYRA12/OW work?

A column array works by stacking identical drivers in a vertical line. Their outputs combine in phase straight ahead and cancel above and below, so the AUDAC KYRA12/OW throws a wide, flat sheet of sound across the seating area instead of into the ceiling and back walls. AUDAC specifies the dispersion at very wide horizontally while staying tightly controlled in the vertical plane, which is the band that carries speech consonants. Less energy on reflective surfaces means less reverberation, better speech intelligibility and more gain before feedback for nearby microphones.

The included two-way revolving bracket pans the column up to 42° left or right and tilts it down up to 13°, so the beam can be aimed at the listeners from a side wall or column. The outdoor version uses AUDAC's AWX5 waterproof connector, which sets the power tap and keeps the connection sealed to IP55. Sensitivity is 92 dB (1W/1m) with frequency range of 120 Hz–20 kHz (−10 dB). For music programs that need more low end, AUDAC pairs KYRA columns with its architectural subwoofers such as the ARCHI10 and BASSO series.
