The AUDAC KYRA24/B is a passive 24 x 2" column array speaker that packs 24 aluminium-cone 2-inch full-range drivers into a slim aluminium enclosure, finished in black. How does the AUDAC KYRA24/B work?

A column array works by stacking identical drivers in a vertical line. Their outputs combine in phase straight ahead and cancel above and below, so the AUDAC KYRA24/B throws a wide, flat sheet of sound across the seating area instead of into the ceiling and back walls. AUDAC specifies the dispersion at 174° horizontally and 7° vertically (−6 dB, averaged 1–4 kHz), which is the band that carries speech consonants. Less energy on reflective surfaces means less reverberation, better speech intelligibility and more gain before feedback for nearby microphones.

The included two-way revolving bracket pans the column up to 42° left or right and tilts it down up to 13°, so the beam can be aimed at the listeners from a side wall or column. Sensitivity is 92 dB (1W/1m) with frequency range of 120 Hz–20 kHz (−10 dB).
