Each ADDERLink XDIP unit is identical hardware that can be configured as a transmitter (computer side) or receiver (console side), so a single SKU covers both ends of the link and units can be re-purposed as the installation evolves. Deployed over CAT5e or better cabling with up to 100m (328ft) between the unit and the network switch, the XDIP rides a standard 1GbE network rather than dedicated point-to-point runs, which keeps structured cabling simple for integrators.

In matrix mode, each receiver can access up to 16 sources and each transmitter can feed up to 256 receivers, enabling video distribution and shared-server workflows on the same hardware. A RESTful API over HTTPS allows third-party control systems, including Elgato Stream Deck-style controllers, to drive channel switching, making the XDIP straightforward to integrate into room control processors common in commercial AV.
