Product Overview

The Adder ALIF2122R-US ADDERLink INFINITY 2122 receiver is a dual-head DisplayPort IP KVM receiver that delivers pixel-perfect video, USB 2.0, and audio to the user workstation over a standard 1GbE network. Fitted with dual SFP cages for CATx or fiber modules, this DisplayPort KVM over IP receiver supports either one display at 2560x1600 @ 60Hz or two displays at 1920x1200 @ 60Hz. As the desk-side half of an IP KVM matrix endpoint, it pairs with INFINITY 2000-series transmitters to keep computers in a secure equipment room while operators work with zero compromise.

Product Description

The ALIF2122R sits at the user position and terminates the IP KVM link: two DisplayPort outputs drive the monitors, four USB Type A ports serve keyboard, mouse, and peripherals, and 3.5mm jacks provide audio out plus a headset/microphone connection. Using a spatially-lossless encoding system with 1:1 pixel mapping, the video the user sees is identical to the video leaving the remote computer — color accurate, with no artifacts.

Adder ALIF2122R-US ADDERLink INFINITY 2122 dual-head DisplayPort IP KVM receiver with dual SFP cages

The two SFP cages are the key to deployment flexibility. Fit the included CATx RJ45 SFP for structured-cable runs of 100m/328ft per hop (extendable by adding 1GbE network devices), or swap in fiber transceivers for distances up to 20km/12mi. The dual ports also support network teaming for full redundancy — valuable in mission-critical control positions where a failed link cannot interrupt the operator.

USB 2.0 with class control supports keyboards, mice, graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks, and mass storage devices, with the option to block non-HID devices in security-sensitive deployments. Dual touch screen support — including an onscreen keyboard and floating launch button — suits modern operator desks. The receiver also supports dithered video sources such as Mac Pro through the matched transmitter's Magic Eye feature.

Pair it with the ALIF2122T-US transmitter for a complete point-to-point extension, or add the ADDERLink INFINITY Manager (AIM) to build a scalable KVM matrix where any workstation can connect to any networked computer. The full range of SFP modules and rack kits is available in our Adder Technology collection.

Key Features

  • Dual-Head DisplayPort Output — Drives one display at 2560x1600 @ 60Hz or two displays at 1920x1200 @ 60Hz with pixel-perfect, color-accurate video.
  • Dual SFP Cages — Accepts CATx or fiber modules for link distances from 100m on copper up to 20km over fiber.
  • Redundant Network Operation — Network teaming across both ports provides full failover for mission-critical positions.
  • Spatially-Lossless Encoding — 1:1 pixel mapping ensures the received video matches the source exactly, with no artifacts.
  • USB 2.0 with Class Control — Four USB Type A ports support HID and mass storage devices, with non-HID blocking for secure sites.
  • Dual Touch Screen Support — Includes onscreen keyboard and floating launch button for touch-driven operator desks.
  • Matrix Scalable with AIM — Becomes an endpoint in a full IP KVM matrix when managed by the ADDERLink INFINITY Manager.
  • Plug and Play — Zero-config delivery with intelligent EDID management; no drivers or software required.

Typical Applications

  • Broadcast studio — operator desks receive pixel-accurate dual-monitor feeds from machines racked in the apparatus room.
  • Government space — secure desks with non-HID USB blocking and redundant network paths.
  • Boardroom — clean, silent user position with the host computers relocated out of the room.
  • Training room — standardized dual-screen workstations switching between any networked source via AIM.
  • Commercial meeting space — flexible operator positions on existing structured cabling or fiber backbone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which transmitter does this receiver pair with?
For DisplayPort sources, pair it with the ALIF2122T-US transmitter. Within an AIM-managed matrix it can also connect to other compatible INFINITY transmitters on the network.

Is an SFP module included?
Yes — one SFP-CATX-RJ45 copper module ships in the box. Fiber SFPs (single-mode or multimode) are sold separately for longer distances.

Can I run point-to-point without a network switch?
Yes. A direct CATx or fiber link between transmitter and receiver works as a plug-and-play extension; adding 1GbE network hardware enables longer paths and matrix switching.

How many sources can one receiver access?
Configured as a self-managed distributed switch, each INFINITY 2000-series receiver can view and rapidly switch between up to 16 sources; with the AIM manager, the matrix scales further.

Does it support touch screens?
Yes. Dual touch screens are supported, complete with an onscreen keyboard and floating launch button.

What about audio at the desk?
The receiver provides a 3.5mm line out plus a combined headset/microphone jack, carrying bidirectional 2-channel 16-bit/48kHz audio.
