The Adder ASP-001-US ADDERLink INFINITY Manager (AIM) is the management server that turns ADDERLink INFINITY (ALIF) endpoints into an IP KVM matrix over standard IP networks. Product Description

An ADDERLink INFINITY deployment without AIM is a set of point-to-point extenders; with AIM, those same transmitters and receivers become a fully routed matrix in which any operator station can connect to any computer on the network. AIM coordinates routing, co-operative sharing so multiple users can work with shared machines, and video multicasting so one source can be viewed at many destinations simultaneously.

The appliance is a compact metal-construction server measuring 215 x 40 x 210 mm (8.5 x 1.6 x 8.3 in) and weighing 1.8 kg (4 lb), with a built-in fan and an OLED status screen on the front panel for at-a-glance health and network information. Connectivity consists of two SFP link ports and one RJ45 link port operating at 1GbE (10/100 is not supported), and the dual NICs can be independently routed or teamed to suit the network design.

For high-availability designs, a primary and a backup AIM unit fit side by side in a single 1U rack tray, and "-BCK" license variants keep both servers licensed identically for failover.
