The AdderLink Infinity 1102 is a high-performance IP KVM extender that supports single-head DisplayPort connectors for digital video, audio, and USB 2.0 over a 1GbE IP network. It enables the relocation of critical computing hardware into a secure, temperature-controlled environment while maintaining a pixel-perfect desktop experience. Using spatially-lossless encoding with 1:1 pixel mapping, it delivers color-accurate video without artifacts, ensuring the digital video output matches the computer's output exactly. Standard IP technology allows connections via CATx or fiber, with optional second network port for teaming to provide load balancing and resilience in critical systems.
Each unit can be configured as a simple extender or a self-managed distributed KVM switch, with receivers capable of seeing up to 16 sources and switching rapidly between them. With the ADDERLink INFINITY Management (AIM) system, multiple extenders form a scalable digital KVM matrix, allowing any workstation to connect to any computer on the network. Intelligent EDID management passes monitor characteristics back to the computer for perfect display without additional setup. The system is plug-and-play with zero configuration, requiring no drivers or software.
Receiver connectivity includes native DisplayPort and HDMI via adapters, while transmitters support DisplayPort. USB 2.0 supports devices like graphics tablets, joysticks, and mass storage, with options to disable non-HID devices for security. It supports redundant network operation for mission-critical applications, bi-directional 2-channel digital audio via USB and the video connector, and touch screen support with on-screen keyboard and configurable launch button. Dithered video is supported to enhance image quality for certain systems like some Mac computers.
