How do I mount a ceiling array microphone in a drop ceiling?
Ceiling array microphones such as the Shure MXA920 and Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling mount in a standard 2 x 2 ft ceiling grid with a tile bridge or flush-mount kit. Hard ceilings and open structures need a surface-mount or pendant (suspension) kit made for that model.
Are microphone mounts universal?
Most mounts are made for a specific microphone model or family. Shock mounts, clips and stand adapters for handheld and studio microphones follow common thread sizes, but ceiling, table and gooseneck mounts should match the exact model.
