Cambridge Secure Room & Eavesdropping Protection (8 products)

Cambridge Dynasound secure-room masking — duct, pipe, conduit, window, door and wall maskers for SCIF and sensitive-discussion spaces, plus portable eavesdropping protection. Designed, installed and documented by Creation Networks.

This is not office sound masking

Comfort masking raises the background level so conversations are less intelligible to people nearby. Secure-room masking does something fundamentally different: it injects sound directly into the structural paths that carry speech out of a room — ductwork, conduit runs, window glazing, door frames, wall cavities — so a conversation cannot be reconstructed from the other side of the boundary.

The two solve different problems and are specified separately. A secure facility usually needs both, and confusing them is how a space fails inspection.

The design is the deliverable

Nobody accredits a box of maskers. What gets accredited is a room — every penetration identified, every path treated, every decision documented against the accrediting authority's requirements rather than a manufacturer's coverage chart.

Creation Networks works the design from the construction drawings: mechanical plans for duct and conduit routes, architectural sections for wall and slab penetrations, door and glazing schedules. Each path gets a specified treatment and a reason. That document is what the inspection is run against, and it is the difference between a room that passes first time and one that comes back for remediation after the walls are closed.

Retrofitting a missed penetration in an accredited space is the most expensive mistake in this category. It means reopening finished construction in a secure area, re-testing and re-inspecting. The design work that prevents it costs a fraction of that.

Match the masker to the path

DS2400 and DS2408 treat duct, pipe and conduit — the most common and most underestimated path out of a hardened room. Mechanical systems cross secure boundaries by necessity, and a duct run is a speech transmission path whether or not anyone intended it to be.

DS2500, DS2508 and DS2530 treat windows, doors and wall surfaces. The DS2530 adds local volume control and a retractable cord for spaces where level is adjusted between uses.

70V and networked versions run across the range. Networked units suit facilities with multiple secure spaces under central monitoring and control; 70V suits standalone rooms and simpler deployments.

Portable protection

The DS2600 kit and DS2610 exciter cover temporary secure discussions — a conference room borrowed for a sensitive meeting, a space that is not permanently accredited, work conducted away from a fixed facility. The exciter couples to the surface being protected and interconnect cables chain multiple units across several paths.

TAA compliance and federal procurement

For federal contracts, the Trade Agreements Act governs what can be supplied, and secure-facility work is almost always federal work. Compliance is determined by country of manufacture or substantial transformation, part number by part number — not by brand, and not by a general statement on a manufacturer's website.

Creation Networks verifies TAA status for every line on a secure-room bill of materials before it is quoted, sources compliant alternatives where a preferred part does not qualify, and supplies the country-of-origin documentation your contracting officer will ask for. Where a required part has no compliant equivalent, we say so at quote stage rather than at delivery.

Creation Networks holds six active CMAS contracts and is registered in SAM.gov, so this work can be placed through a contract vehicle rather than a competitive procurement where that suits the timeline. Our UEI is XMRUL5PM8K37.

How we work these projects

Secure-room work is a documentation exercise as much as an installation. Creation Networks handles it end to end:

  • Design — penetration survey from the drawings, treatment specified per path, coordination with the mechanical and architectural teams before construction closes
  • Procurement — TAA verification per line item, country-of-origin documentation, contract vehicle placement
  • Installation — by technicians who understand that a secure area has access, escort and documentation requirements ordinary AV work does not
  • Commissioning — measured performance against the design, not a visual check
  • Close-out — as-built documentation an accrediting authority can work from, and that survives staff turnover on your side

We are CTS-D certified and have been designing, installing and supporting AV systems for federal, state, county and municipal clients since 2006.

Bring us in early

The right moment to involve us is when the room is still in drawings. Every penetration treated at design stage is cheaper than the same penetration treated after inspection, and some paths cannot be treated at all once construction closes.
