Product Overview
The Williams AV WF WR10 is a dual-band wireless access point configured for WaveCAST Wi-Fi assistive listening systems, providing the dedicated wireless network that carries audio from a WaveCAST transmitter to Wi-Fi receivers and smartphones. Operating concurrently on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with 802.11ac support and four gigabit LAN ports, it gives integrators a known-good network foundation for audio over Wi-Fi deployments. This device is supplied by Williams AV in certain pre-packaged WaveCAST systems.
Product Description
Streaming low-latency audio over Wi-Fi places specific demands on the wireless network — multicast handling, consistent throughput, and predictable coverage. The WF WR10 addresses this by giving the WaveCAST system its own access point rather than sharing a corporate or guest network, which keeps assistive listening traffic isolated and simplifies troubleshooting during commissioning.
The unit supports IEEE 802.11ac, 802.11n, 802.11g, 802.11b, and 802.11a standards across concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, with rated wireless speeds of 1000 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2167 Mbps on 5 GHz. Four detachable 5 dBi omni-directional antennas provide coverage for typical assembly spaces, and four 10/100/1000M LAN ports plus a gigabit WAN port connect the WaveCAST transmitter, control network, and upstream infrastructure. WPA/WPA2-PSK and AES security keep the audio network protected.
In a typical deployment, the WaveCAST transmitter connects to a LAN port via CAT 5e, the access point broadcasts the listening SSID, and guests join with WAV Pro receivers or the WaveCAST app on their phones. Pair the WF WR10 with a transmitter such as the WaveCAST C (WF T5C-00), and find receivers and complete system packages in the Williams AV collection at Creation Networks. Note that this device is only available in certain pre-packaged systems; contact Williams AV for additional product information.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why use a dedicated access point for WaveCAST?
A dedicated access point isolates assistive listening audio from corporate and guest network traffic, ensuring consistent multicast performance and predictable latency, and it lets integrators commission the audio network without involving the facility's IT change process.
What connects to the WF WR10 in a typical system?
The WaveCAST transmitter connects to one of the four gigabit LAN ports over CAT 5e. WAV Pro Wi-Fi receivers and guests' smartphones running the WaveCAST app join the access point's wireless network to receive the audio stream.
Can it serve both dedicated receivers and smartphones at once?
Yes. Concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz operation supports WAV Pro receivers and personal devices simultaneously, with WPA/WPA2 security protecting the listening network.
Is the WF WR10 sold separately?
Williams AV notes this device is only available in certain pre-packaged WaveCAST systems. Contact Creation Networks to confirm availability and the right system package for your venue.
What warranty applies?
The WF WR10 carries a three-year parts and labor warranty from Williams AV, longer than the standard two-year coverage on most WaveCAST components.
