Product Overview
The Williams AV WF T5CD-00 WaveCAST C with Dante is a single-channel Wi-Fi audio transmitter that streams real-time assistive listening audio to smartphones, tablets, and dedicated Wi-Fi receivers, with a Dante network audio input for integration into networked AV systems. Built for pro-audio applications where high-quality sound is required, it pairs hardware DSP processing with Telnet control over Ethernet for third-party room control systems. The half-rack transmitter is a practical audio over Wi-Fi solution for conference rooms, courtrooms, lecture halls, and houses of worship that need ADA-compliant hearing assistance.
Product Description
WaveCAST C is built on a hardware-based DSP audio architecture that lets integrators optimize the stream for the content being delivered: hearing assistance tuned for hearing loss, music tuned for high-fidelity playback, and voice set for maximum speech intelligibility. Custom presets can be saved for specific performance applications. DSP features include AGC, limiters, high-pass and low-pass filters, and an adjustable-range compressor, while a 16-bit DAC at a 48 kHz sample rate keeps the digital stream smooth.
This Dante-equipped model accepts audio from your Dante network on a dedicated RJ-45 port, alongside the professional analog input — a combination XLR/1/4-inch TRS jack supporting mic or line level with selectable phantom power — plus a line-level output and headphone monitoring jack. The transmitter integrates with third-party control systems via Telnet commands over Ethernet, and most settings can be changed from the front panel OLED interface or the hosted web page.
WaveCAST C supports both unicast and multicast network configurations. Up to four units can share one Wi-Fi network to provide multiple listening channels, serving 45 users in unicast mode or 1,500+ users in multicast mode. Listeners use the free WaveCAST app on iOS or Android, or venues can deploy WAV Pro Wi-Fi receivers for dedicated assistive listening hardware. If your installation does not use Dante, consider the analog-only WaveCAST C (WF T5C-00), or explore the full Williams AV collection at Creation Networks.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the WF T5CD-00 integrate with a Dante system?
The transmitter includes a dedicated Dante RJ-45 input, so it appears as a standard endpoint in Dante Controller. You can route any channel from a Dante-enabled DSP, mixer, or console directly to the WaveCAST C without analog interconnects.
Can it be controlled from a room control processor?
Yes. WaveCAST C accepts Telnet commands over Ethernet, allowing Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, and similar control systems to manage the unit. A remote programming guide is available from Williams AV on request.
How many listeners can the system support?
In unicast mode the system supports 45 users; in multicast mode it supports more than 1,500 users. Up to four WaveCAST C transmitters can share one Wi-Fi network to provide multiple channels.
How do listeners connect?
Listeners join the venue Wi-Fi and stream through the free WaveCAST app on iOS or Android, selecting channel and volume in the app. Venues can also provide dedicated WAV Pro Wi-Fi receivers for ADA assistive listening compliance.
What is the difference between the WF T5C-00 and WF T5CD-00?
Both are WaveCAST C transmitters with identical DSP processing and analog I/O; the WF T5CD-00 adds a Dante network audio input and output on RJ-45. Choose the D model when the source audio lives on a Dante network.
What warranty applies?
The WaveCAST C carries a 2-year parts and labor warranty from Williams AV. Creation Networks supports configuration and deployment questions before and after purchase.
