It converts 100–240 VAC mains power to a regulated 18 VDC, 1 A output, serving as the factory replacement part for interpretation booths and hearing loop installations. Product Description
Simultaneous interpretation setups are unforgiving of power failures: when an IC-2 console loses power mid-session, an entire language channel goes silent. The TFP 044 is the vendor-specified supply for the IC-2, delivering 18 VDC at 1 A through the correct connector, and the same part also powers the PLA 90 personal loop amplifier used in counter and small-area hearing loop applications. Its universal switching input accepts 100–240 VAC at 50–60 Hz, so consoles that travel between domestic and international venues need only a region-appropriate cord. At 0.4 lb it adds almost nothing to an interpretation kit case. For conference centers, government facilities, and rental inventories running multiple interpreter consoles, stocking one TFP 044 per booth plus a spare is standard practice.
