Product Overview
The Williams AV PPA VP 37 is a complete large-area FM assistive listening system that broadcasts a presenter's voice, music program, or audio service up to 1,000 feet on the 72-76 MHz hearing assistance band. The value pack pairs a PPA T27 transmitter with four R37 receivers, earbuds, two neckloops for telecoil-equipped hearing aids, an ADA wall plaque, antenna, audio cable, and power supply — everything a house of worship, courtroom, or meeting facility needs to deploy ADA-compliant hearing assistance in one purchase.
Product Description
At the core of the system is the T27 transmitter, with an LED display panel and push-button channel selection across 17 available channels. It accepts a 3.5 mm electret microphone for direct voice pickup or a line-level RCA feed from the house sound system, so it drops into existing AV infrastructure with a single cable. The included ANT 021 antenna provides up to 1,000 feet of nominal range, and the channel-lock feature keeps the system on its commissioned frequency.
Listeners use the single-channel-locked R37 receivers with the included EAR 013 earbuds, or with one of the two NKL 001 neckloops that couple inductively to telecoil-equipped hearing aids — the hearing aid compatible provision required under the 2010 ADA guidelines. Each receiver adjusts volume independently, runs up to 50 hours on the included AA alkaline batteries, and supports a future move to NiMH rechargeables with Williams Sound drop-in chargers. The IDP 008 wall plaque signals assistive listening availability to patrons at the entrance, completing the compliance picture.
Need more receivers as attendance grows? Add individual PPA R37 receivers or multi-pack bundles from the Williams AV collection at Creation Networks. A no-earbud version of this system is available as the PPA VP 37-00.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the VP 37 meet ADA requirements out of the box?
The system complies with 2010 ADA guidelines for hearing assistance: it transmits on the reserved 72-76 MHz band, includes neckloops for hearing aid compatible coupling, and ships with the required notification plaque. Verify your venue's seat-count-based receiver quantity against current ADA tables and add receivers as needed.
How does the system connect to my existing sound system?
The T27 transmitter's RCA line-level input accepts an unbalanced mono feed from your mixer or DSP using the included WCA 013 audio cable, with a screwdriver-adjustable attenuator for level matching.
Can I add more receivers later?
Yes. Any Williams Sound 72-76 MHz wideband receiver — individual R37 units or 12- and 20-pack bundles — will tune to the same channel as this system.
How do hearing aid users connect?
The two included NKL 001 neckloops plug into the R37 receiver's 3.5 mm jack and couple inductively to any telecoil-equipped hearing aid or cochlear implant processor.
Is professional installation required?
Day-to-day setup is plug-and-play, but the FCC requires the ANT 021 antenna to be professionally installed for fixed installations — standard work for a commercial AV integrator.
Can this system be used outside the U.S.?
The system is FCC approved for U.S. markets, ships with a US-plug 110 V power supply, and the 72-76 MHz band is not authorized in all countries. Check local radio regulations before deploying internationally.
