The Williams AV PPA R37 is a 17-channel FM assistive listening receiver supplied with batteries and an EAR 013 single earphone, ready to hand to a listener the moment it arrives. Operating on the 72-76 MHz wideband frequencies reserved for hearing assistance under the ADA, it works with all Williams Sound wideband FM transmitters, making it the standard replacement and expansion receiver for FM assistive listening systems in commercial venues, classrooms, and houses of worship.

Product Description

The R37 uses digitally synthesized tuning for stable, clear audio across all 17 preset wideband channels, selected via a seek button inside the battery compartment. Channel-lock capability keeps the receiver on the house frequency so audience members cannot accidentally retune it. A combination volume control with power on/off dial and a green LED status indicator keep day-to-day operation simple for venue staff and listeners alike.

The 3.5 mm stereo/mono output jack accepts the included earbud as well as headphones and neckloops, so telecoil-equipped hearing aid users can couple directly to the broadcast — a key requirement for ADA-compliant assistive listening provision. A battery-saving sleep mode engages after approximately six minutes without an RF signal, and the receiver runs up to 50 hours on two AA alkaline batteries or up to 32 hours on NiMH rechargeables using an internal battery-type switch and bottom contacts for Williams Sound drop-in chargers.
