Product Overview

The Williams AV PPA R37N is the core 17-channel FM assistive listening receiver of the Personal PA family, the same bodypack receiver supplied in Williams Sound multi-receiver bundles and value pack systems. Operating on the 72-76 MHz wideband frequencies reserved for hearing assistance by the ADA, the R37N is compatible with all Williams Sound wideband FM transmitters, making it the standard receiver for expanding or replacing units in an existing FM assistive listening system.

Product Description

The R37N's audio is digitally synthesized for clarity and frequency stability. A seek button inside the battery compartment steps through all 17 preset wideband channels, and channel-lock capability keeps each receiver on the house frequency so listeners cannot accidentally retune mid-event. The combination volume control with power on/off dial and a green LED status indicator make operation intuitive, while a low-battery indicator simplifies fleet checks before services, classes, and performances.

The 3.5 mm stereo/mono output jack accepts a wide range of earphones and headphones, and drives neckloops for telecoil-equipped hearing aids — the connection path most venues rely on for ADA-compliant assistive listening. A battery-saving sleep mode engages after approximately six minutes without an RF signal. The receiver runs up to 50 hours on two AA alkaline batteries or up to 32 hours on NiMH rechargeables, selected via an internal slide switch, with bottom charging contacts for Williams Sound CHG 3502 and CHG 3512 drop-in chargers.
