Product Overview
The Williams AV POE KT1 is a passive power-over-Ethernet wiring kit for the IR T2 medium-area infrared transmitter. It lets an installer deliver power plus one signal option — one channel of balanced line-level audio, one or two channels of unbalanced line-level audio, or RS-232 control and monitoring — over a single cable run to the transmitter. The KT1 is the kit to specify when the IR T2 will be powered by its included power supply rather than a PoE switch.
Product Description
Mounting an IR T2 transmitter high on a wall or ceiling gives the best infrared coverage of a conference room or courtroom, but it also puts the device far from the audio source and the rack. The POE KT1 consolidates the connections so one structured-cable run carries both power and signal to the transmitter location. The kit includes the WCA 131 and WCA 133 connector assemblies: the head-end side accepts the IR T2's standard power supply (such as the TFP 057) plus the chosen audio or RS-232 connection, and the transmitter side breaks those services back out at the mounting point. Installers choose between one balanced line-level channel, one or two unbalanced line-level channels, or an RS-232 control and monitoring link, depending on the system design. If the installation will instead use a PoE switch or the POE 001 injector for power, specify the companion POE KT2 kit.
