The Williams AV IR RX20 is a stereo, stethoscope-style infrared receiver for assistive listening systems operating at 2.3 or 2.8 MHz, including the Williams AV IR T1 and IR T2 transmitters. Its lightweight under-the-chin design is comfortable for extended sessions and easy to sanitize between users, making it a practical receiver choice for theaters, classrooms, and assisted living facilities. A rechargeable LiPo battery delivers up to 8 hours of listening per charge.

Product Description

At just 1.6 ounces, the IR RX20 keeps listener fatigue to a minimum while its IR-transparent polycarbonate housing picks up the infrared carrier from any direction the wearer faces. A three-position selection switch chooses 2.3 MHz, 2.8 MHz, or stereo operation, so the receiver moves easily between single-channel assistive listening and two-channel stereo program audio. A thumbwheel volume control and on/off slider keep operation simple for end users, and a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack supports alternate listening accessories when the stethoset earpieces are not preferred.

Range extends up to 15,000 square feet in single-channel mode when paired with the IR T2 transmitter, allowing one receiver model to serve rooms from huddle spaces to small auditoriums. The internal LiPo battery recharges in the CHG 520 charger (sold separately), and replacement EAR 089 earpads keep fleet units serviceable over years of use. Williams AV backs the receiver with a 5-year warranty (90 days on the battery).
