Product Overview

The Williams AV Infinium BA CT1 is a Bluetooth LE Audio Auracast transmitter and controller package built for commercial assistive listening systems. It broadcasts low-latency, high-fidelity audio to an unlimited number of Auracast-enabled devices, including hearing aids, cochlear implants, earbuds, and Infinium R1 receivers. With analog and Dante audio inputs, a rack-mount-ready controller, and a PoE-powered transmitter, the CT1 gives AV integrators a modern path to ADA-compliant assistive listening without RF licensing or loop wire installation.

Product Description

The Infinium system splits the broadcast audio workload into two purpose-built components. The half-rack controller lives in the equipment rack alongside the rest of the AV system, accepting line-level analog audio or a Dante network feed and providing configuration through a front-panel OLED interface or a built-in web UI for remote management. The low-profile transmitter mounts on a ceiling, wall, or shelf in the listening space and connects back to the controller with a single CAT cable carrying audio, control, and PoE power — a one-cable pull that keeps installation labor low.

The transmitter delivers omnidirectional Auracast coverage up to 100 meters (328 ft), serving lecture halls, theaters, transit hubs, and other large venues from a single discreet unit. Because Auracast broadcast audio supports unlimited simultaneous listeners, capacity planning is no longer tied to a receiver count: guests with Auracast-enabled hearing aids or headphones connect directly, while venues can also stock Infinium R1 receivers for visitors without their own devices. Remote audio monitoring lets technicians verify the broadcast from outside the coverage area, simplifying troubleshooting and commissioning.

For venues that need a complete package, the CT1 is also available bundled with receivers, chargers, and accessories — see the Infinium Auracast system with 2 receivers or browse the full Williams AV assistive listening collection at Creation Networks.

Key Features

  • Professional AV Controller — The half-rack controller integrates into a standard 19-inch rack with analog and Dante inputs and supports one or two units per rack space using the optional RPK 005 or RPK 006 rack mount kits.
  • Single-Cable Transmitter Installation — One CAT cable from the controller carries audio, control, and PoE power to the transmitter, reducing installation time and cabling cost for integrators.
  • 100-Meter Omnidirectional Coverage — The ceiling-, wall-, or shelf-mounted transmitter broadcasts Auracast audio up to 100 meters (328 ft) for full-room coverage in large venues.
  • Unlimited Auracast Listeners — Bluetooth LE Audio broadcast supports an unlimited number of Auracast-enabled hearing aids, cochlear implants, headphones, and Infinium receivers simultaneously.
  • Remote and Onsite Management — Configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting are available from the front-panel OLED display or the web interface, including live audio monitoring outside the coverage area.
  • Dante Network Audio Integration — A dedicated Dante RJ-45 port connects the controller directly to professional networked audio systems for efficient routing and management.
  • ADA Compliance Path — Paired with Infinium R1 receivers, the CT1 helps venues meet ADA assistive listening requirements while also supporting multilingual audio and audio description channels.

Frequently Asked Questions

What devices can receive audio from the Infinium CT1?

The CT1 broadcasts to any Auracast-enabled device, including compatible hearing aids, cochlear implants, earbuds, and headphones, as well as the Williams AV Infinium R1 receiver. Because it uses Bluetooth LE Audio broadcast, there is no limit to the number of simultaneous listeners.

Does the CT1 integrate with a Dante audio network?

Yes. The controller includes a dedicated Dante RJ-45 port alongside analog inputs, so it can take a program feed directly from a Dante-enabled DSP, mixer, or audio network without additional converters.

How is the transmitter installed and powered?

The transmitter mounts on a ceiling, wall, or shelf and connects to the controller with a single CAT cable that carries audio, control, and PoE power. No separate power supply is required at the transmitter location.

Does the CT1 meet ADA assistive listening requirements?

The CT1 provides the broadcast infrastructure for an ADA-compliant assistive listening system. To satisfy ADA receiver-count requirements, venues pair the CT1 with Infinium R1 receivers and neckloops, available individually or in packaged Infinium systems.

Can the system be managed remotely?

Yes. In addition to front-panel configuration, the controller hosts a web interface for remote setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting, including the ability to listen to the broadcast audio from outside the coverage area.

What warranty does Williams AV provide?

The Infinium CT1 controller and transmitter carry a 2-year parts and labor warranty from Williams AV.
