What is the Vizrt VPTZ3W PTZ3 Plus?
The Vizrt VPTZ3W is the white Vizrt PTZ3 Plus, an HD NDI PTZ camera with 20x optical zoom, AI presenter tracking and FreeD camera tracking data embedded in the NDI|HX stream. One Ethernet cable carries video, audio, control, tally, PoE+ power and tracking data, which makes it a strong fit for lecture capture, corporate studios and AR virtual sets with Viz Virtual Studio Go.
How does the Vizrt VPTZ3W PTZ3 Plus work?
The PTZ3 Plus streams NDI|HX 3 or NDI|HX 2 using H.264 or HEVC, with simultaneous 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs for traditional switchers. It is controlled over NDI, so any TriCaster or NDI controller on the network can drive pan, tilt and zoom.
AI presenter tracking keeps talent in frame based on face and posture detection, continues when the presenter turns away, and returns home after a selectable 0.5 to 10 second timeout. Edge limits stop the camera from tracking off set, and blackboard detection holds the shot on a presentation area.
The camera embeds FreeD position, rotation and lens data in every NDI|HX frame, so AR and XR systems such as Viz Virtual Studio Go can use tracking data without extra hardware. A phantom-powered mini XLR input lets a microphone feed audio into the same stream, with two-step confirmation before +48V is enabled.
