Product Overview

The Visix Touch Power Injector (SKU: VX-R-MDI) supplies PoE+ power to the Visix Touch meeting room sign in environments where an existing PoE+ capable network switch is not available. A single Ethernet cable carries both power and data from the injector to the room sign, eliminating the need for a separate electrical outlet at the sign location. This is the recommended power solution when deploying Touch signs on network infrastructure that does not natively support Power over Ethernet Plus.

Product Description

The Touch room sign requires PoE+ (802.3at) power delivery over its Ethernet connection. In facilities where network switches are standard Ethernet-only or support only standard PoE rather than PoE+, this mid-span power injector bridges the gap. The injector connects between the wall port or patch panel and the room sign, injecting the required PoE+ power onto the data line without disrupting network connectivity. One injector is required per Touch room sign. For large deployments, a PoE+ capable network switch may be a more cost-effective infrastructure investment; for smaller installations or locations with limited network switch access, the Visix PoE+ Power Injector is the practical per-port solution. This accessory is sold separately and does not include the Touch room sign.
