Product Overview

The Visix Connect PoE Power Injector (SKU: VX-C-MDJ) delivers Power over Ethernet to the Visix Connect meeting room sign in installations where a PoE-capable network switch is not available. A single Ethernet cable carries both power and data from the injector to the sign, eliminating the need for a separate electrical outlet at the room sign location. One injector is required per Connect room sign when a PoE network switch is not in use.

Product Description

The Visix Connect room sign supports three power options: a PoE network switch, a DC power supply (included with the sign), or this mid-span PoE power injector. In environments where structured cabling runs terminate at non-PoE switches or where the nearest power outlet is at a patch panel rather than near the room sign, the PoE power injector provides a per-port PoE solution without requiring a switch upgrade. The injector connects between the wall data port and the room sign, injecting PoE power onto the Ethernet line without disrupting data connectivity. This accessory is sold separately and does not include the Connect room sign. For larger deployments, evaluating a PoE-capable network switch may reduce per-port cost; for single-sign or small installations, this injector is the straightforward solution.
