The Visionary Solutions MOD-DANTE is a Dante/AES67 upgrade module for PacketAV 4 Series endpoints, converting an E4200 encoder into a DuetE-2 and a D4200 decoder into a DuetD-2. For commercial AV integration projects that start video-only and later add networked audio, the module is a field-upgrade path to full Dante/AES67 audio over IP capability without replacing installed hardware. It is the practical way to standardize on the 4200 platform while keeping Dante audio integration as a per-room option.
Product Description
Visionary's E4200 and D4200 surface-mount endpoints ship as 4K UHD over IP encoders and decoders that are upgradeable to AES67/Dante. Installing the MOD-DANTE module unlocks that capability, giving the endpoint the same Dante/AES67 audio feature set as the factory Duet-2 models — networked audio embedding and de-embedding alongside 4K video, all over the unit's Gigabit Ethernet connection. This lets integrators route conference room program audio to a DSP, feed a networked amplifier such as the PNA-D4 PoE+ Dante amplifier, or tie AV over IP video endpoints into an existing Dante audio network in a house of worship or training room. Deploying the module on installed 4200-series units protects the original hardware investment: rooms gain Dante audio when budgets or requirements catch up, with no rewiring of the video distribution system. For 5 Series endpoints (E5200/D5200), order the MOD-DANTE-5 module instead. Creation Networks can confirm compatibility against your installed PacketAV hardware before purchase.
