The MV5 connects to a standard Gigabit network and processes four dynamically switchable PacketAV 5-Series input streams simultaneously. Each input can be scaled and positioned using preset layouts — quad view, side-by-side, full screen, PiP, PoP, and 3+1 — or arranged in any user-defined custom configuration with window transparency, borders, and 90-degree rotation for portrait displays.

Users can mix and match input resolutions, scale any input up to 4K60 4:4:4, and route any input to any window. The combined output is delivered two ways at once: a local HDMI output up to 4K60 4:4:4 and a re-encoded AV over IP stream sent to one or more PacketAV Matrix 5-Series decoders anywhere on the network.
