What is the Uniguest 785?
The Uniguest 785 is a versatile standalone HD encoder that streams a video and audio signal in real time to an unlimited number of screens, PCs, tablets and smartphones across an IP network.
How does the Uniguest 785 work?
The 785 accepts composite, component, two HDMI and SDI inputs. It can lock to one input, scan and stream the first signal it finds, or act as an AV switch under third-party control. It encodes H.264 or MPEG-2 and streams multicast or unicast UDP transport streams, plus RTP for QuickTime. PoE models run from a single network cable; standard models use the included DC adapter. An OLED display and touch controls make local setup simple, and IP-to-RS232 pass-through and IR blasting let it control nearby source devices. For rack-mounted headends, see the 798 encoder blade.
