The Symetrix 80-0233 xIO USB is a Decora-style Dante wall plate endpoint that provides a USB-A audio interface for direct connection of a laptop or other USB audio device to the Dante network and Symetrix DSP system. It enables BYOD soft-codec audio integration at the wall plate level — a user plugs their laptop into the USB-A port on the wall, and the laptop’s audio is routed through the Symetrix DSP and Dante network to the room’s speakers and microphones, without needing a separate USB audio interface or long USB cable runs. Powered over Ethernet via PoE.

The xIO USB provides a USB-A connection point at the wall plate for BYOD soft-codec audio in conference rooms, training rooms, and multi-purpose spaces where users bring their own laptop to a conference room and connect via USB for Teams, Zoom, or WebEx audio. The device bridges USB audio to and from the Dante network, with all routing and signal configuration managed in Symetrix Composer. It installs in a US single-gang Decora electrical box alongside other wall plates and accepts PoE power over the Cat cable. For installations where USB-B (device-side) integration is preferred at the DSP itself rather than at the wall, the Radius NX and EDGE USB Audio Card provide USB-B at the DSP chassis.
