Product Overview
The Symetrix 80-0221 T-7 Glass is a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen room controller for commercial AV installations on the Symetrix DSP platform. Designed for conference rooms, huddle rooms, and secondary control positions in larger spaces, this PoE+-powered wall-mount touchscreen runs the Symetrix SymVue interface for room audio control — volume, source selection, scene recall, muting, and paging. The T-7 Glass is compatible with Symetrix Radius NX, Prism, EDGE, and Server D100 DSP platforms and provides a glass-front appearance suited to commercial meeting environments. Its 7-inch form factor makes it the mid-size option in the T-Series family, balancing display area with a more compact footprint than the T-10.
Product Description
The T-7 Glass features a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display with a flush glass front surface, wall-mounted via the included bracket. Power and network connectivity are delivered over a single Cat cable via PoE+. The touchscreen runs a SymVue control interface configured by the integrator in Symetrix Composer or Control Server, presenting volume, source, mute, scene, and paging controls for the room's audio system. The T-7 is appropriate as the primary room controller in smaller conference rooms and huddle rooms, or as a secondary control point in larger boardrooms alongside a T-10. For the smallest room control footprint, the T-5 Glass (80-0228) is available. All T-Series touchscreens are compatible with the T-Series Tabletop Stand (80-0192) for tabletop deployment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does the T-7 Glass require a Symetrix Control Server?
A: The T-7 Glass can operate with or without a Symetrix Control Server (80-0119), depending on the complexity of the installation. For advanced multi-room control, scheduling, and third-party integration, the Control Server is recommended. Simpler single-room installations may operate directly with the DSP platform.
Q: What PoE standard does the T-7 require?
A: The T-7 Glass requires PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at). Ensure the switch or injector supports PoE+. The Symetrix PoE+ Kit 30W (60-0024) is available as a compatible injector.
Q: Can the T-7 Glass be used as a tabletop controller?
A: Yes. The Symetrix T-Series Tabletop Stand (80-0192) is available separately for tabletop deployment.
Q: What is the difference between the T-7 and the T-10?
A: The T-10 (80-0190) has a 10-inch display and is suited to larger rooms or primary control positions requiring maximum visibility. The T-7 has a 7-inch display, making it more appropriate for smaller conference rooms, huddle rooms, or secondary control positions. Functionality is identical between the two.
Q: Which DSP platforms does the T-7 support?
A: The T-7 Glass is compatible with Symetrix Radius NX, Prism, EDGE, and Server D100.
