Product Overview
The Symetrix Prism 16x16 Dante (SKU: 80-0117) is a 1U rack-mount fixed-architecture DSP processor delivering 16 balanced analog inputs, 16 balanced analog outputs, and onboard 64x64 Dante network audio. It is the largest configuration in the Prism family and is suited to conference rooms, houses of worship, performing arts venues, and multi-zone commercial audio installations requiring substantial analog I/O counts in a single 1U chassis. Like all Prism models, it is programmed in Symetrix Composer with no per-seat license fee and operates with 40-bit floating point precision at 48 kHz.
Product Description
The Prism 16x16 Dante provides 16 balanced mic/line inputs — each adjustable from line to mic level with coarse gain, fine trim, and phantom power — plus 16 balanced line outputs with fine trim. Audio conversion is 24-bit, 48 kHz, with internal 40-bit floating point processing delivering near-zero-latency signal paths: 0.28 ms analog input latency, 0.60 ms analog output latency, and 0.88 ms total A/D/A latency. The 64x64 Dante interface (AES67 compatible) extends the analog I/O over standard IP networks to Symetrix xIO endpoints, Dante-enabled amplifiers, and other networked audio devices. Unlike the EDGE and Radius NX, the Prism has no expansion card slots — its I/O count is fixed at purchase, making it a straightforward specification for projects with stable I/O requirements. The Prism 16x16 Dante is compatible in a shared Symetrix Composer site file with all other Symetrix DSP platforms, including Prism 4x4 through Server D100.
Key Features
- 16 Balanced Analog Inputs — Mic/line switchable with coarse gain, fine trim, and phantom power on each input.
- 16 Balanced Analog Outputs — Balanced line-level outputs with fine trim for speaker zones and distributed audio.
- 64x64 Dante + AES67 — Full bidirectional Dante networking for AVoIP audio distribution.
- 40-Bit Floating Point, 48 kHz — High-precision processing with 0.88 ms total A/D/A latency.
- Fixed Architecture — No Expansion Slots — Straightforward specification with no optional card configuration required.
- Symetrix Composer Programmable — Open-architecture DSP design; no per-seat license fee; compatible across the full Symetrix platform.
- 1U Rack-Mount — Standard 1U for equipment rack installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does the Prism 16x16 Dante support AEC?
- The Prism does not have an AEC module option. For conferencing with AEC, specify the Radius NX (4x4 or 12x8) which supports an optional internal AEC coprocessor, or the EDGE with the 4-Channel AEC Input Card.
- What is the difference between the Prism 16x16 Dante (80-0117) and the non-Dante (80-0203)?
- The 80-0117 includes 64x64 onboard Dante. The 80-0203 has the same 16x16 analog I/O without Dante networking.
- Can the Prism 16x16 share a Composer site file with a Server D100?
- Yes. All Symetrix DSPs — Prism, EDGE, Radius NX, and Server D100 — are compatible within a single Symetrix Composer site file.
