SurgeX SX-UPS2000VS24 – UPS-2000-OL + SX-VS-1624 UPS & PDU Bundle
What is the SurgeX SX-UPS2000VS24?
The SurgeX SX-UPS2000VS24 is a factory bundle that pairs the SurgeX UPS-2000-OL online double conversion UPS with the SurgeX SX-VS-1624 Vertical Series+ IP-controlled vertical PDU. It is built for AV and IT racks that need battery backup and 24-outlet managed power distribution under one part number. Ordering the bundle keeps the UPS and the outlet-switching PDU matched and quoted on a single line.
How does the SurgeX SX-UPS2000VS24 work?
The UPS-2000-OL sits upstream and converts incoming AC to DC and back to AC so connected equipment never sees a transfer gap during an outage. Its output feeds the SX-VS-1624, a 0U Vertical Series+ PDU that mounts along the side rail and carries 24 individually switchable receptacles. Because the Vertical Series+ PDU is IP-controlled, each outlet can be turned on, off, or power-cycled remotely, scheduled, or sequenced, and the unit reports into SurgeX CONNECT and third-party control systems. For integrators, the bundle answers two rack questions at once: how long the rack rides through an outage, and how outlets get managed without spending rack units. The SX-VS-1624 is rated 120V/16A on the distribution side.
What are the key features of the SurgeX SX-UPS2000VS24?
- One part number — The UPS and the managed PDU ship and quote together.
- IP-controlled outlets — Every receptacle on the Vertical Series+ PDU can be switched or cycled over the network.
- 0U vertical mounting — The PDU rides the side rail, leaving rack units free for equipment.
- SurgeX CONNECT compatible — Power status and control report into SurgeX CONNECT and third-party control systems.
- Online double conversion — Zero transfer time keeps codecs, DSPs and switches running through an outage.
- Hot-swappable battery — Batteries can be replaced without powering down the rack.
