Product Overview
The Shure R189W-A is a lobar mini-shotgun condenser cartridge for Shure Microflex gooseneck and overhead microphones in bright white finish, including Microflex Wireless and Microflex Complete models. Its 100-degree pickup area provides highly directional capture with strong ambient noise rejection, and the bright white finish is designed for commercial installations where white Microflex hardware is specified — common in conference rooms, training facilities, and government spaces with white ceiling or surface finishes.
Product Description
The R189W-A threads onto all compatible Microflex gooseneck and overhead microphone bodies with a tool-free cartridge swap, enabling fast field retrofit from cardioid or supercardioid to a more directional lobar pattern. The electret condenser element requires phantom power (48–52V DC at 8.0 mA) and delivers a sensitivity of -33 dBV/Pa at 1 kHz across a 50–17,000 Hz frequency response. CommShield technology provides immunity from cellular RF interference and digital bodypack transmitters. Optional foam windscreens are available (A189WWS white, A189BWS black).
